Four members of the University of Texas men’s basketball team were named Thursday to the National Association of Basketball Coaches’ Honors Court.

The foursome honored by the NABC were Brandon Allums, Prince Ibeh and Connor Lambert — each of whom will be a senior in the fall, and Danny Newsome, who will be a redshirt junior.

The Honors Court recognizes college basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the 2014-15 season. In order to be named to the Honors Court, a player must: be a junior or senior and a varsity player, have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2014-15 academic year, have matriculated at least one year at his or her current institution, and be a member of an NCAA Div. I, Div. II, Div. III or NAIA Div. I or Div. II institution with a coach who is a member of the NABC.
