Spieth recently finished in a tie for second at the Masters. Much like this weekend, the former Longhorn entered the final round at Augusta in a tie for the lead but lost to eventual champion Bubba Watson.

“Augusta left me feeling a little hungry for it again, and here we are,” Spieth said. “And I have an opportunity to kind of really draw back on that round and the positives, the negatives and everything in between and go out there tomorrow and try and play the same way I played the first two rounds.”

Spieth played one year at Texas, where he played an integral part in the Longhorns’ NCAA national championship. Spieth won three events that year and led the team in scoring.

Spieth tees off at 1:35 p.m. Central and NBC will broadcast the match.
