Texas volleyball eliminated from NCAA tournament by Louisville

AUSTIN, Texas — Senior outside hitter Micaya White posted a team-high 20 kills and added six digs, but it was not enough as[s2If current_user_can(access_s2member_level2)] the No. 2-seeded Texas volleyball team’s season came to an end Friday in the NCAA Regional Seminal in a 3-2 loss to the Louisville Cardinals: 25-22, 25-17, 17-25, 18-25, 15-12.

Sophomore outside hitter Logan Eggleston added 17 kills for the Longhorns, who finished the season with a 23-4 record.

Sophomore middle blocker Brionne Butler hit .409, with 12 kills, and added six blocks, while freshman middle blocker Asjia O’Neal hit .778, and added five blocks, two digs and an ace.

Sophomore setter Jhenna Gabriel handed out 53 assists.
