Texas soccer wins exhibition over Abilene Christian

AUSTIN, Texas – In their first match of the season, an exhibition, Texas soccer defeated Abilene Christian at Myers Stadium 3-0. Scoring goals were senior Carlee Allen, junior Sydney Nobles and freshman Holly Ward.

Three hundred and fifty fans came out to Myers Stadium and watched Texas take eighteen shots with nine on goal, nine corner kicks, and get eight fouls. UT Athletic Director Chris Dell Conte was at field-level and Olympic Gold Medal winner Julia Grosso arrived from Vancouver, BC in time to be with her teammates.

Freshman midfielder Lexi Missimo provided one assist, three shots and one shot on goal (SOG) that was good, but there was an off sides flag that cancelled the score.
