Texas football tramples Rice 58-0
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas trampled Rice 58-0 in the first Texas shutout since 2017. The Longhorns had eight touchdowns, one safety, on nine scoring drives that produced 620 total yards of offense, 427 rushing, 193 passing before a crowd of 91,978 at DKR. For the 96th time, the Longhorns record against Rice is 74-21-01 with this win being the second-largest scoring differential next to the 59-0 win in 1914.

Now, Texas returns to the Forty Acres to play Rice in a Saturday night game that it will hopefully use to get better prior to the start of Big 12 play.
