The Texas Softball team swept Florida State in the NCAA Austin Super Regionals over the weekend to advance to their first Women's College World Series since 2006. The Longhorns were scheduled to play Game 1 on Friday, but the game was moved to Saturday due to a rain delay.

On Saturday, the Longhorns rallied from a two-run deficit to beat the Seminoles, 3-2. Karina Scott led the Longhorns at the plate with two RBIs and a double. Blaire Luna pitched a complete game and struck out 10 batters.

The Longhorns returned on Sunday needing one win to advance to their fifth Women's College World Series appearance. Blaire Luna and company took care of business in Game 2 to send Texas to Oklahoma City. Luna pitched a no-hitter and struck out 13 batters. It was the third postseason no-hitter in school history and Luna's fourth no-hitter this year. The Longhorns scored four runs on three-extra base hits in the fifth inning. Karina Scott and Taylor Thom each homered to lead the Longhorn hitters.

The Longhorns will face 5th-seeded Arizona State on Thursday, May 30 at 7 p.m in the first round of the Women's College World Series.
