No. 1 Texas volleyball survives at Kansas State in five sets

MANHATTAN, Kan. — The No. 1-ranked Texas volleyball team rallied to claim the last two sets to escape with a 25-19, 21-25, 20-25, 25-18, 15-7 victory at Kansas State at Bramlage Coliseum. With the win, the Longhorns retained their perfect record, which improved to 7-0.

Junior outside hitter Logan Eggleston picked up her first double-double of the season, with a season-high 20 kills and 14 digs. 

Other season highs included the 18 kills by Skyler Fields and the 14 kills by Asjia O’Neal, who also added five blocks. Setter Jhenna Gabriel tied her season and career high with 58 assists, and added 14 digs.

UT was more efficient offensively, outhitting KSU, .321 to .201, and forced nearly twice as many errors (27) as they committed (14).

The Longhorns and Wildcats will meet again at 6:30 Saturday at Bramlage Coliseum in a match that can be seen on ESPN+.
