The Texas Women's soccer team picked a poor time to lose their first home game of the season falling to Virginia Tech 1-0 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Longhorns were 10-0 at home this season and as the No. 4 seed they had hopes of making a deep run into the tournament after a solid season. Texas had a number of opportunities but couldn't seem to get a solid shot on goal. In the 67th minute Virginia Tech's Bridget Patch scored the only goal of the game to give the Hokies the victory.
