The University of Texas signed OL Brandon Hodges from East Mississippi Community College, along with OL Tristan Nickelson and DE Quincy Vasser, both from Navarro College [Texas], to National Letters of Intent on junior college signing day on Wednesday.
Hodges and Vasser will both enter UT as juniors after spending two years at the JUCO level, while Nickelson will be a sophomore. All three will enroll at Texas in January.
Hodges is originally from Aberdeen, Miss., and enrolled in East Mississippi out of Aberdeen High School. Prior to attending Navarro College, Nickelson spent one season at Fork Union Military Academy [Va.] after graduating from Clear Falls High School in Texas. Vasser also attended postgraduate school at Hargrave Military Academy [Va.] prior to Navarro, and previously played at Nyack High School in New York.
