AUSTIN, Texas – Texas held their weekly press conference with Coach Sarkisian were we asked coach about Casey Thompson’s play in the second quarter with 1:30 left on the clock before half time. Thompson threw the ball across the field to Cade Brewer where he then rushed for six yards on the play.
Thompson looked to be in trouble on the right side and just before getting pummeled, Thompson with his back to Brewer initially, turned and threw to an open Brewer.
Was the played designed that way or was Thompson playing elite ball?
