SOFTBALL VALUE ADD – LEXY BENNETT

The Akron Racers drafted Lexy Bennett during the National Pro Fastpitch draft March 7. The No. 3 overall selection, Bennett became the eighth player in Texas softball history to be selected by the NPF.

The Racers came in second place last season and look to Bennett to give them the edge they need to claim this year’s championship. “Bennett’s versatility in the infield makes her very valuable,” Racers owner Joey Arrietta said. “She performs flawlessly in every position. She’s fluid and graceful. She’s the real deal and brings a big bat.”
