IRVING, Texas – The Big 12 Conference office announced the 2015 league schedule Wednesday.

Next year’s conference schedule begins on Sept. 26 when Oklahoma State visits Austin, followed by a road contest at TCU and then the annual AT&T Red River Showdown game against Oklahoma in Dallas on Oct. 10. Following a bye, the Longhorns will play host to Kansas State on Oct. 24, and then hit the road to face Iowa State on Oct. 31.

The final month of the season begins with a home tilt vs. Kansas (Nov. 7) and a road game vs. West Virginia (Nov. 14). The final two games of the regular season mirror that of 2013. Texas Tech comes to town Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 27) and the Longhorns close out the season at Baylor on Dec. 5.

Texas opens next season with three nonconference games, including a pair at home. The season opener is set forSept. 5 when the Longhorns visit Notre Dame, the first meeting between the two storied programs since 1996. They currently rank tied for second on the NCAA all-time wins list (881). The following week (Sept. 12) Rice visits Austin, followed by a home game vs. California on Sept. 19.
