Late last night, the Austin American Statesman reported that starting offensive tackles Desmond Harrison and Kennedy Estelle would be suspended for Saturday's game against BYU. The suspensions were handed down due to violations of team rules, but the university would not disclose the exact violation.

For Harrison, this is the second consecutive game in which he will be suspended. The 6-foot-8, 318-pound senior was just reinstated Monday, after serving a serving a suspension and sitting out the season opener against North Texas. Saturday's game against BYU would have been Harrison's first career start at right tackle.

After already losing its starting quarterback (David Ash), things could be a little difficult on the offensive side of the ball this Saturday. Tyrone Swoops will get his first career start and have to do it without the luxury of having the team's two starting tackles protecting the edge. Add to the mix Dominic Espinosa's injury, and you have one of the most inexperienced offensive lines in the country protecting a quarterback making his first start.

The good thing is that there will be no Kyle Van Noy causing the kind of havoc he did last season. Still, Coach Strong is really going to have to put a solid game plan together. I suspect we will see large doses of Johnathan Gray and Malcolm Brown. They are arguably one of the best running back duos in the nation and we will need them to play like it on Saturday.

Hook'em!
