Texas Longhorns sent 11 players to the NFL Combine and everyone shined. Junior wide receiver from Fresno, CA #0 Xavier Worthy on his second attempt broke the NFL Combine record in the 40-yard dash with a time of 4.21.
On Worthy’s first attempt he ran a 4.25 which is impressive and would have been the fastest in this years class at the NFL Combine. Worthy could have stopped their, but wanted one more chance to better his time.

A few moments later, the NFL reported that Worthy actually broke the record after they ran the Simulcam and showed John Ross against Xavier Worthy. Ross held the record set in 2017 at 4.22.

Worthy catches a 44 yard pass reception from Quinn Ewers against Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Al. This play gave Texas the lead and they would go on to win the game 34-24. The Texas win snapped the 21-game winning streak at home for Alabama.

Worthy came to play for Texas the same time Steve Sarkisian took over as head coach. Worthy started in 39 games, is the third all-time in Texas Football with 26 career touchdown receptions. He also ranks fourth all-time in career receiving yards with 2,755, eigth in punt ruturn yards (564), and was a two-time member of the Big 12 Commisioner’s Honor Roll.
In Worthy’s career at Texas, he averaged 70.6 yards per game, 14 yards everytime he caught the ball which he did 197 times over his three yeards at Texas.
Worthy opted to enter the NFL Draft after his junior year, and now we know why. He’s the fast person in NFL Combine history.
