Texas Men’s Basketball last game at Frank Erwin Center

AUSTIN, Texas - Texas men's basketball played their last home game of the regular season at the historic Frank Erwin Center to a crowd of 16,450. Coach Chris Beard after the game said, "I know our players and our team wanted so badly to try to win this game for people other than ourselves."

No. 21/21/ Texas fell to No. 3/4 Baylor 68-61 in a battle that went down to the last couple minutes of play. Both teams played tight defense. Texas was up three points at the half and remained up until five minutes into the second half, when Baylor went up by one, Texas tied it on a Marcus Carr three pointer only to have Baylor take the lead at 13:06 they would not give up and get the win.

The final all-time record in the Frank Erwin Center is 549-143 since opening in 1977.

Christian Bishop lead scoring for Texas with 13 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocked shots. This was Bishop's first double-double of the season. Marcus Carr scored 13 points (3-8 threes). Timmy Allen scored 10 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.
