FORT WORTH, Texas — The Longhorns knew this game would be a battle, and it was. Texas kept their poise down to the last drive to triumph over TCU 32-27. Texas scored seven times to TCU’s five times

Coach Sarkisian said after the game, “I would rather win ugly than lose pretty and this was an ugly one.”

Texas is now 4-1 on the season, 2-0 in Big 12 Conference play.

Casey Thompson completed 12-of-22 passes for 142 yards and one touchdown. Bijan Robinson rushed for 216 yards on 35 carries and scored two touchdowns. Texas linebacker DeMarvion Overshown pressured TCU with 10 tackles, eight of them solo. Defensiveback Anthony Cook was a force with eight tackles, six of the solo, one sack and a forced fumble against Max Duggan on a sack.
