TEXAS QUARTERBACK LEGACY

Texas QB Legacy2

University of Texas starting quarterback David Ash is entering his junior season with high expectations from Longhorn fans. Many believe that the success of Texas’ 2013 campaign will depend heavily on the results the third-year quarterback produces on the field.

Ash also finds himself as the most experienced quarterback in the Big 12 Conference after the departures of West Virginia’s Geno Smith, Baylor’s Nick Florence, Texas Tech’s Seth Doege, Kansas State’s Collin Klein, and Oklahoma’s Landry Jones.

Texas legends Vince Young and Colt McCoy put up stellar statistics in their junior seasons and both finished second in the Heisman race those respective years. Young won the 2005 National Championship and Colt lead Texas to a Fiesta Bowl victory.

How will David Ash fare in the upcoming season? Do you think David Ash will have a junior season comparable to Colt and Vince?
