AUSTIN, Texas — Texas Women’s Basketball thumps New Orleans 131-36 in a fast-paced, highly disciplined play by Texas. Every Texas Longhorn got playing time with 79 points coming from the bench.

No 22 freshman guard Kyndall Hunter scored 27 points hitting seven for eight 3 pointers, No 2 junior guard Aliyah Matharu scored 18 points, No 11 Joanne Allen-Taylor 15 points

Texas hit 47-77 field goals (61%), 13-23 (56.5%) 3-pointers, 24-43 (55.8) free throws, and rebounded 53 (23 offensive, 30 defensive).

The only place Texas was not effective was on the right side inside the 3-point line because only three shots were taken there. The rest of the court Texas dominated at will.

Texas plays Stanford on Sunday Nov. 14 at 2 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN.

I like exploring the why's and have three objectives. First is to give value to those who would spend time with our content. Second is to be respectful of others and for the opportunity to tell a positive story about all of the Texas Longhorns teams, players, and coaches regardless of their record. Lastly, to put wind in the sails of others using the Horns Illustrated platform. Life is GOOD!
