Volleyball rallies past Oklahoma, remains undefeated in Big 12

NORMAN, Okla. — The No. 4 University of Texas volleyball team improved to 3-0 against Big 12 foes Wednesday, and 11-2 overall, with a 3-1 (22-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-22) victory at Oklahoma.

Freshman outside hitter Micaya White led the UT offense with a .333 hitting percentage and a career-high 26 kills and added 12 digs to post her second double-double of the season.

Junior outside hitter Ebony Nwanebu hit .444 and collected 17 kills, while senior outside hitter Paulina Prieto Cerame recorded 16 kills. Meanwhile, senior setter Chloe Collins handed out a match-high 54 assists, junior libero Cat McCoy had 13 digs and sophomore middle blocker Morgan Johnson had four blocks.

The Sooners dropped to 9-6 overall, and 0-2 in Big 12 matches.

The Longhorns head north again this weekend, facing Kansas State at 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 2 in Manhattan, Kan., in a match that will be broadcast live on ESPN3.
