Women’s basketball ends losing streak against Baylor with road win over No. 2 Bears

WACO, Texas — Junior guard Brooke McCarty scored a season-high 22 points and freshman Joyner Holmes followed up her fourth Big 12 Freshman of the Week award of the season with her sixth double-double of the year to lead the No. 11/13 University of Texas women’s basketball team (19-4 overall, 13-0 in Big 12 games) to an 85-79 upset of No. 2/2 Baylor (23-2, 12-1).
