NEW YORK, N.Y. —University of Texas sophomore point guard Isaiah Taylor appears on a regional cover in this week’s issue of Sports Illustrated, the publication announced Tuesday morning. Texas is one of five schools selected for a regional cover in the magazine’s annual College Basketball preview issue, joining Arizona, Duke, Kentucky and Wisconsin.

Taylor’s cover shot was taken by photographer Darren Carroll. Subscribers and newsstands in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, New Mexico, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Idaho, New Mexico and Wyoming will receive this regional issue.
Texas opens the 2014-15 season with a home game against North Dakota State on Friday, Nov. 14 as part of the 2K Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project. Tip is set for 7 p.m.Central at the Frank Erwin Center, and the game will be televised nationally by Longhorn Network.
