The Texas basketball team now knows the road they must travel to make it to the NCAA tournament as the school announced the 2013/14 basketball schedule.

The recent tradition of mixing national powerhouses with smaller in-state schools in the basketball schedule continues. Texas will play Temple and North Carolina in Philadelphia and Chapel Hill respectively, and Michigan State at the Frank Irwin Center. Texas also scheduled UT Arlington, Stephen F. Austin and Texas State.

The season is set to begin Nov. 4 at the Frank Erwin Center against Mercer University.

Despite recent struggles, nine of Texas’ 18 conference games will be televised nationally on the ESPN family of networks. Not surprisingly, this includes both matchups against the Andrew Wiggins-led Kansas Jayhawks.
