2023 Big 12 Champions Texas Longhorns Football

Texas Longhorns played their most efficient football of the season and put 662 yards of total offense against Oklahoma State University Cowboys to put their final stamp of excellence on the conference, the season, and college football. The final score was 49-21.

The game was broadcast in 140 countries and in Times Square.

Seven touchdowns by Texas, five of them before the first half. Quinn Ewers threw 46 passes and connected on 35 of them for 452 yards and four touchdowns and broke a conference championship record.

T'Vondre Sweat scored a touchdown. Yes, the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year lined up at tightend and acted like he was going to block, then turned and was in the end zone waiting for the pass. He caught it and immediately flashed the Heisman pose.

Coach Sarkisian commented that in practice, Sweat bobbled the ball once, and it made him nervous. Jordan Whittington said that all the backs were helping coach Sweat on how to catch the ball so when it was airborne he knew what to do.

We got tons of field level photos, player interviews and great insight. Check back for updates.

I like exploring the why's and have three objectives. First is to give value to those who would spend time with our content. Second is to be respectful of others and for the opportunity to tell a positive story about all of the Texas Longhorns teams, players, and coaches regardless of their record. Lastly, to put wind in the sails of others using the Horns Illustrated platform. Life is GOOD!
