Longhorn defense needs to step up
With Baylor’s defense possibly limiting the production of Texas’ offense, the Longhorn defense will need to step up … and yes, tackle. The inability to tackle in recent games has fans steaming, but coming off of a bye week, with all starters healthy, tackling should no longer plague the defense late in ballgames.

But Texas will have to do more than that in order to earn the victory. Forcing Baylor mistakes will also be key, as Texas is 10-1 under Tom Herman when the defense forces three turnovers or more. Look for middle linebacker Juwan Mitchell to make an impact. The junior hits hard and has a knack for getting to the opposing quarterback. On the season, he has 17 tackles and recovered one fumble.
