AUSTIN, Texas — For the second time this season, Charli Collier, the Texas women's basketball team's do-it-all post player, was named the Big 12 Player of the Week after two extraordinary performances against TCU and Iowa State.

Her ninth and 10th double-doubles of the season, in UT wins over TCU and Iowa State, helped Texas junior forward/center Charli Collier earn Big 12 Player of the Week honors for the second time this season (photo courtesy of texassports.com).

The honor was announced Monday afternoon by the league office.

Collier, a forward/center, averaged 22.5 points, 19.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game in wins over the Horned Frogs and Cyclones this past week.

Facing TCU in Austin, she scored 23 points and pulled down a career-best 20 rebounds, 12 of those being offensive. It marked the first time since Nneka Enemkpali's Nov. 20, 2012 performance that a Longhorn registered 20-plus points and 20-plus rebounds in a single game.

The junior guided Texas to its first conference road win of January, with 19 rebounds and 22 points. Her 10 double-doubles this season rank No. 1 in Div. I women's basketball. The victory over then-No. 24 Iowa State was UT's first win over an Associated Press top 25 opponent in the Vic Schaefer era.

In AP poll released Monday, Texas received the most votes (52) of any unranked team. Iowa State dropped out of the poll and garnered 23 fewer votes than the Horns.
