Culbreth named Big 12 Pitcher of the Week

IRVING, Texas — After bidding for a no-hitter for more than seven innings against Stanford, Texas left-handed pitcher Ty Culbreth has been named Big 12 Pitcher of the Week.
The senior struck out a career-high 12 batters in eight scoreless innings against the Cardinal, allowing just two hits.
The league’s weekly honor is the first in Culbreth’s career in Austin.
The 4-3 Longhorns return to the field at 6 p.m. Tuesday with a game against Texas State in San Marcos.
