IRVING, Texas –Texas takes on two schools from Louisiana along with its conference schedule in 2019, the Big 12 Conference recently announced with the release of next year's schedules.
The Big 12 Conference office announced the 2019 league football schedule on Thursday morning. The announcement completes Texas' 2019 slate, as the three nonconference games were previously released.
The conference slate begins at home for the second consecutive season when UT hosts Oklahoma State on Sept. 21. The Longhorns will also host Kansas (Oct. 19), Kansas State (Nov. 9) and Texas Tech (Nov. 29) inside Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium during conference play.
The Longhorns begin the road portion of the Big 12 schedule on Oct. 5 at West Virginia. They'll also travel to TCU (Oct. 26), Iowa State (Nov. 16) and Baylor (Nov. 23).
The AT&T Red River Showdown at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas against Oklahoma is set for Oct. 12.
Texas begins the season on Aug. 31 when they play host to Louisiana Tech. The next week, LSU comes to Austin (Sept. 7) before the Longhorns are scheduled to play a return game in Baton Rouge in 2020. The non-conference portion of the schedule wraps up at NRG Stadium in Houston with a game against the Rice Owls.
