BREAKING NEWS Texas Longhorns quarterback Casey Thompson has entered the transfer portal

AUSTIN, Texas — We have just confirmed with the University of Texas that Casey Thompson has entered the transfer portal.

Thompson had a standout year in his first full season as quarterback after being the backup QB to Sam Ehlinger. Thompson completed 165 passes on 261 attempts for 2,113 yards and 24 touchdowns. He also rushed for 157 and four touchdowns.

Thompson got his chance in the second-half of the Alamo Bowl in 2020 where he threw four touchdowns.

Thompson will enter the transfer portal as a graduate transfer.
