A four-year letterman, Tanner started at left guard for three years, earning honors as an All Big 12 Team honoree twice and making the Athletics Director’s Honor Roll three times.
Following his graduation, Tanner played for the New York Jets but tore his knee in the second preseason game. He has since returned to Austin where he participates in a number of endeavors as both an entrepreneur and a coach. Tanner currently coaches the offensive and defensive lines at St. Andrews High School. He also recently started a company called Tanner Group LLC, which provides a full service real estate brokerage, as well as a special events and marketing business.
In his free time, Tanner enjoys wake surfing on Austin’s nearby lakes, spending time with his brother, playing golf, cooking and hunting. “I have always enjoyed bringing groups of people together for a good time,” he said.
