The Texas Longhorns have been dealing with a few distractions lately. Today, one possible distraction took a turn for the positive as David Ash was cleared to play and will start against Kansas State.

This is good news for a Texas team in desperate need for a win. David Ash gives the Longhorns the best chance to win. With Ash under center, the offense is less predictable and has a better chance at converting on 3rd down, keeping the defense off the field.

In other injury news, senior wide receiver Mike Davis, junior offensive tackle Josh Cochran, senior offensive guard Mason Walters, and sophomore linebacker Dalton Santos are listed a questionable and will be game-time decisions.

Side Note: Tyrone Swoopes could see some playing time as well. Major Applewhite will probably opt for fewer quarterback runs with Ash in the game after multiple quarterback draw and zone read calls against BYU probably contributed to his head and shoulder injuries.
