IRVING, Texas -- Junior outside hitter Haley Eckerman has been named the Big 12 Conference Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for matches played Nov. 5-10, the league office announced Mondayafternoon.

The weekly honor is Eckerman’s 13th all-time Big 12 weekly award and eighth offensive honor. Eckerman becomes the fourth Longhorn to earn recognition from the conference office this season as she joins Bailey Webster (Oct. 14) as an offensive honoree as well as rookie of the week selections Chiaka Ogbogu (Sept. 30, Oct. 7) and Chloe Collins (Oct. 28).

On Saturday, Eckerman recorded her sixth double-double and fourth of the conference season vs. No. 24 Kansas with a season-high 25 kills and 13 digs. The junior All-American led all Big 12 players for the week with 6.25 kills and 6.88 points per set. She was the only league player to average over six kills per set on the week. Additionally, Eckerman hit .333 against the Jayhawks with just five errors on 60 swings. The Longhorns moved to 11-0 in league play and won their 14th straight match.

Texas returns to action Saturday, Nov. 16, at Texas Tech for a 1 p.m. conference contest.
