Everything You Need To Know About Texas vs BYU
Gameday, people! Are you excited? I know I am. Last week we had the pleasure of watching our Texas Longhorns shake off a little first half rust and dominate a game we were expected to dominate. While BYU presents a bigger challenge, anything less than a victory today would have most Horns' fans pressing the early season panic button.
BYU has a mobile quarterback, a stud running back and defense that plays big. Speaking of that defense, last week they held The Virginia Cavaliers to 19 points. Were it not for an errant throw from BYU's Taysom Hill, they likely would have won that game and they would have had their defense to thank.
For today's game, it's important for David Ash to play with discipline. BYU's defense is adept of creating turnovers. If he shows up sharp and plays like he did after he threw two picks last week, then the Longhorns will win.
The last time Texas and BYU schools squared off was in 2011. Texas hosted BYU and eked out a one-point victory, 17-16. What are your predictions for today? Sound off on the comments section of this article (below).
