Febres bombs Texas men’s basketball past Central Michigan, 87-76

AUSTIN, Texas — Junior guard Jase Febres scored a game-high 23 points and sophomore guard Courtney Ramey added a career-high 20 to lead the Texas men’s basketball team to an 87-76 win Saturday over Central Michigan at the Frank Erwin Center.

With the victory, the Longhorns improved their record to 9-1, their best 10-game start in the five seasons in which Shaka Smart has been UT’s head coach. Central Michigan fell to 7-4 on the season.
