Henley heard his name picked by the 2017 World Series Champion Houston Astros when the right-handed junior was selected with the 226th pick overall in the seventh round.

Hamilton went not too long after when the Milwaukee Brewers picked the junior shortstop with the 253rd overall pick in the eighth round. Hamilton shined for the Longhorns in 2018 but missed all of 2019 with an injury.

Starting for Texas the past three years, Henley had a 3.65 ERA with 173 strikeouts in 222 career innings pitched. This past season he led the Horns with a 6-4 record with a 3.54 ERA in 73 2/3 innings pitched, starting 13 games total with seven quality starts.

The Astros, as noted in a recent article by Ben Lindbergh and Travis Sawchik about the Houston ball club on The Ringer and further laid out in their recent book, The MVP Machine.

Last season Hamilton hit .291 with a team-high 31 stolen bases to go with seven doubles, six triples and five home runs as he was named to the All-Big 12 second team.

Another player with ties to Texas who is most likely not coming to Texas anymore, Longhorn signee Brett Baty of Lake Travis High School was picked in the first round, going 12th overall to the New York Mets.
