Did you miss anything ‎Texas Longhorns related from the past 7 days? Don't worry, we will bring you up to speed.

Football

Only 3 days until the 2013-2014 Texas Football Season kicks off against New Mexico State!!

We're only three short days away from kicking off the college football season and seeing the Longhorns take the field at Darrell K. Royal Texas Memorial Stadium.

On Tuesday Head Football Coach Mack Brown announced, former Senior defensive tackle Ashton Dorsey has elected to transfer from the University of Texas program. Coach Brown made no comments on where Dorsey would transfer or why.

Dorsey has been dealing with a calf injury through summer and fall camp and was not featured on the two-deep depth chart that was released this week.

Former Texas quarterback legends Vince Young of the Green Bay Packers and Colt McCoy of the San Francisco 49ers are expected to be the backup quarterbacks of their respected teams. The Packers released former Texas Tech quarterback Graham Harrell after three seasons after Young beat out Harrell for the backup position. It didn't take long for Harrell to find another roster spot with the New York Jets.

McCoy is expected to be Jim Harbaugh's choice for the backup quarterback spot after he played the most minutes in the preseason between B.J. Daniels and Seneca Wallace.

Volleyball

The top-ranked Texas Longhorns Volleyball team traveled to Honolulu to participate in this weekend's Rainbow Wahine Invitational. The Longhorns finished last season as National Champions and topped the 2013 AVCA preseason poll as No. 1.

Softball

The Texas Longhorns Softball team released their fall schedule for 2013. The Softball team will play six games at Red & Charline McCombs Field and all six will be broadcast on the Longhorn Network. For a link to the 2013 fall softball schedule click here.
