Football

39 days until the 2013-2014 Texas Football Season kicks off against New Mexico State!

The Texas Longhorns Football unveiled new uniforms for the upcoming 2013-2014 season! Follow the link for a video from the Athletic Department revealing the uniforms and give us your thoughts on the Horns Illustrated Facebook page!

 

Track and Field

New Track and Field head coach Mario Sategna hired three new coaches on July 16. Kareem Streete-Thompson will direct horizontal jumps and sprints. Ty Sevin will handle field events. And Brad Herbster will coach the distance/cross country teams. All three coaches will join Sategna's staff as assistant coaches to the newly combined University of Texas Track and Field program.

Men's Basketball

The University of Texas Men's Basketball sophomore forward Ioannis Papapetrou helped lead Greece to a 74-60 victory over Turkey on Sunday. Greece finished in 5th place in the Under-20 European Championships. Papapetrou posted a game-high 21 points and 7 rebounds in the victory over Turkey. Papapetrou led his team in scoring over the tournament with a 15.9 ppg average.
