Football
The University of Texas Longhorn football team is coming off a bye week following a 38-13 defeat at home to the Oklahoma State Cowboys last week. The loss was the first Big 12 Conference defeat for the Longhorns this season. Longhorns currently hold a 7-3 record, and will host Texas Tech at Darrell K. Royal Texas Memorial Stadium on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday Nov. 28. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT and the game will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1.
Men's Basketball
The University of Texas Longhorns Men's Basketball team will play BYU in the semifinals of the CBE Hall of Fame Classic Championship Round Monday night, Nov. 25. The Longhorns defeated Houston Baptist in the Regional Round, 89-61 on Nov. 18. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT and the game will be broadcast on ESPNU.
Volleyball
The No. 1 Texas Longhorn Volleyball team clinched the Big 12 Conference title outright with a sweep of the Kansas State Wildcats 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-15) Saturday afternoon at Gregory Gym.
Texas pushed their overall record to 21-2 and remain a perfect 14-0 in Big 12 play. The win also extended their win streak to 17 games. The Big 12 Conference title was the Longhorns third consecutive title.
Senior setter Hannah Allison recorded a match-high 40 assists, while junior Khat Bell posted a match-high 13 kills. All-American Haley Eckerman finished with 10 kills, while All-American Bailey Webster posted 12 kills.
The Longhorns will play Iowa State on Nov. 27 in Ames, Iowa. The match is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT.
Women's Basketball
The Texas Longhorn Women's Basketball team fell to No. 5 Stanford 63-54 on Saturday afternoon at the Frank Erwin Center. The Longhorns entered halftime with a seven-point lead, but were unable to hang on and lost their first game of the season.
Sophomore Imani McGee-Stafford recorded her second double-double of the season, finishing with 12 points and 14 rebounds. Chassidy Fussell added 15 points in the loss.
The Women's team will play Syracuse on Nov. 28 in the Paradise Jam Classic at 7:15 p.m. CT.
