Football

The University of Texas Longhorn Football will play TCU in Fort Worth on Saturday following a bye week. The Longhorns currently hold a 4-2 overall record and are 3-0 in the Big 12. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 P.M. CT and will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1. TCU is coming off a 24-10 loss to Oklahoma State on Saturday. Last season, TCU defeated Texas 20-13 in Austin.

Volleyball

The No. 3 Texas Longhorn Volleyball team defeated Iowa State 3-1 (19-25, 25-14, 25-19, 25-22) on Saturday to win their ninth straight match. Senior Bailey Webster finished with 15 kills, while Haley Eckerman added 14 kills. Setter Chloe Collins finished with 29 assists. The Longhorns dropped the opening game to the Cyclones, 19-25, but battled back to win the next three games and extend their undefeated 6-0 record in the Big 12.

Soccer

The No. 25 Texas Women's Soccer team defeated rivals Oklahoma 1-0 on Senior Night. Freshman forward Marchelle Davis scored early in the 12th minute to give the Longhorns their fifth win in Big 12 play. She scored her second goal of the season on a header from a cross from Chantale Campbell.

The Longhorns (11-4-2, 5-1-1 Big 12) finished the 2013 regular season undefeated at home in Mike A. Meyers Stadium. Texas honored two seniors on Senior Night, midfielder Gabby Zarnegar and forward Brenda Saucedo. Both players got the start in their final home game in a Texas uniform.

On Friday, the Longhorns played to a double-overtime tie with Oklahoma State.

Men's Swimming and Diving

 The Texas Men's Swimming and Diving team topped North Carolina in their season opener on Thursday.

Texas (1-0) won 12 of 16 events and collected six wins from newcomers in a 171.5-126.5 victory over North Carolina Thursday evening at UT's Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center.

Women's Swimming and Diving

The Texas Women's Swimming and Diving team defeated North Carolina 171-129 on Thursday at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center. Three freshman accounted for seven of the Longhorns' nine individual event victories.

Women's Tennis

Texas sophomore Breaunna Addison and freshman Pippa Horn advanced to the doubles finals of the ITA Texas Regional Championship after defeating UT teammates Ratnika Batra and Elizabeth Begley in a tiebreaker in the semifinals 8-7 (6).

The doubles finals are scheduled for Monday, Oct. 21 at 9 a.m. CT. The winner claims the tournament crown and a berth in November's ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championship in New York City.
