According to a statement released by Longhorns trainer Anthony Pass, Jaxon Shipley is listed as questionable for Saturday’s game against UCLA.

The senior wide receiver, and brother of Jordan Shipley, was injured in the Longhorns’ game against BYU, injuring his head. However, details of the injury have yet to be released.

Shipley had five catches for 36 yards in Texas’ loss to BYU and is averaging 7.2 yards per reception this season.

Shipley joins an already crowded list of injured players for Texas, which includes starting quarterback David Ash and center Dominic Espinosa.

Head coach Charlie Strong announced Monday that Ash will remain out for the foreseeable future following a return of concussion-related symptoms for the junior QB.

Tyrone Swoopes, who started at QB for Texas against BYU, is likely to start again. Swoopes completed 20 of 31 passes to finish with 176 yards, one touchdown and one interception in his first career start.

Espinosa, who broke his ankle in Texas’ first game against North Texas, is out for the remainder of the year.
