In 2012, Anthony Fera’s world started to spin out of control. When Fera — one of the nation’s best kickers as a sophomore — opted to leave Penn State in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky child-molestation investigation, he returned home to Texas to be closer to his mother as she battles multiple sclerosis.
