Let the Madness Begin
by Caleb Wiesenhutter
Texas comes into the NCAA tournament on a slump. After winning 9 out of 10 games they’ve fallen in 5 of their last 8 games, including the blowout lose to Baylor in the semi-finals of the Big 12 tournament. Because of this Texas received a 7-seed in the tourney, and also get put in what many see as the toughest region. To begin the tourney they have to face a tough Arizona State team. If they do so advance to the next round of the tourney, they would then most likely have to face one of the better teams in the country, in Michigan.

Texas though didn’t make the tourney last year, and are looking to shock the world and make a possible championship run. But, even with an opening round loss this year Texas has much to look forward to in the upcoming season. They will likely not loss anyone to the NBA draft, and do not have any seniors on the team, so they will primarily be coming back next year with a more experienced, better Texas team.
As the madness begins, Texas fans like me are looking for the Horns to shock the world, but even if they don’t do so we have much to look forward too.
