Myles Turner Decides to Go Pro; Declares for NBA Draft

Myles Turner Announces Will Leave UT for NBA

Myles Turner has announced on Twitter that he will leave the Texas Longhorns Basketball team and pursue his dream of playing in the NBA.

"We have not sent in the letter to the NBA yet," David Turner told ESPN. "But he's not coming back to Texas. He's going to declare for the NBA draft."

The 6-foot-11 Turner was one of the most highly rated recruits in the country. He averaged 10.1 points and 6.5 rebounds in 22 minutes this season for coach Rick Barnes -- who was firedby athletic director Steve Patterson on Sunday.
