No. 23 Texas, Maryland showing ample respect as 2017 opener looms

AUSTIN, Texas — Don’t think for a minute that No. 23 Texas can afford to take Maryland lightly when the two teams square off Saturday to open the 2017 season at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin.

After all, it was the Terrapins, and not the Longhorns, who played in a bowl game last season.
