AUSTIN, Texas -- Texas Men's Tennis concluded non-conference play with a 4-0 victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Wednesday evening at Westwood Country Club.

The Longhorns started strong in doubles by earning the opening point with a 6-3 decision on court three from Nick Naumann and Michael Riechmann, and a 6-2 decision on court two from Adrien Berkowicz and George Goldhoff.

Texas followed with three straight-set victories in singles to clinch the match, improving to 18-3 overall and 12-1 at home this season. The Islanders, undefeated in Southland Conference play, fall to 14-6 on the year.

"I thought everybody stepped up and took the challenge today," head coach Michael Center said. "Up and down the board nobody was giving in. It was a good team win and we now have a week to get ready for a couple of big matches to conclude the season."

Freshman John Mee stepped up to earn the match-clinching singles victory after being inserted into the lineup for the second time in a month and first time since March 22. Mee defeated Corpus Christi's Arthur Bedel, 6-2, 6-1, to improve to 16-8 on the year.
