IRVING, Texas — The pairings for the 2014 Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship have been set, conference officials announced Saturday evening. Texas (22-9, 11-7 Big 12) is the No. 3 seed in the tournament and will open play in a quarterfinal contest against No. 6 seed West Virginia (17-14, 9-9 Big 12) on Thursday, March 13 at approximately 8:30 p.m. (Central). The game will be televised regionally by the Big 12 TV Network and available online at ESPN3.com.
Should Texas win its quarterfinal game, the Longhorns would advance to play in the semifinal round on Friday, March 14 at approximately 8:30 p.m. (Central). The championship game is slated for Saturday, March 15 at 8 p.m. (Central).
All tournament games will be played at the Sprint Center in Kansas City. The entire Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship also will be televised either regionally or nationally by the Big 12 Network, ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU.
