Texas Baseball Gameday: vs. Texas A&M (June 2)
After falling to Texas A&M 3-2 in the potential regional championship-clinching game, Texas gets another crack at it Monday at 6 p.m. at Reckling Park.
Following Texas A&M's ousting of No. 1 seed Rice (9-8 in extra innings) Sunday, the Aggies carried the momentum into their later game against Texas, who remained undefeated through their first two regional championship games before falling to Texas A&M.
The Longhorns look to recapture the strong hitting they displayed in the first game of the regional tournament, when Texas routed their former conference rival 8-1.
Texas A&M, who stumbled into the tournament after going 33-24 in the regular season, have won three straight games to set up Monday night's do-or-die game, where the winner will advance to the super regional.
The game will be televised on ESPNU and Longhorn Network, and can be heard on AM 1300 The Zone in Austin.
