Texas Basketball: Big 12 / SEC Challenge Times and Networks Announced

IRVING, Texas — The networks and times have been finalized for the inaugural Big 12/SEC Challenge, the two conferences and ESPN have announced. Texas will host Vanderbilt on Monday, Dec. 2 at the Frank Erwin Center. Tip time is set for 8 p.m. Central, and the game will be televised nationally by ESPN2.

ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU will combine to televise all 10 games, starting with the first game of the Challenge on Thursday, Nov. 14. All telecasts will be available through WatchESPN, accessible online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app, through ESPN on Xbox LIVE to Gold members and on Apple TV to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.
This will be the first challenge for Big 12 men’s basketball since a four-year series between the Big 12 Conference and the Pac-10 from 2007-10. The Big 12 held a 28-20 advantage in games played in that event. The Longhorns posted a 3-1 mark in the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series.
