We are at the Sheraton Hotel in New Orleans a few blocks from the Superdome and got to talk with coach Pete Kwiatkowski, T’Vondre Sweat, Bryon Murphy II, Jaylon Ford, Jahdae Barron, and Barryn Sorrell in a special media access before today’s practice.
We asked Texas coach Pete Kwiatkowski if he was equally as confident in the secondary as he is in the defensive line now that Texas has had several weeks to prepare for the game. He is extremely and equally confident in all areas of the Texas defense. For Kwiatkowski, it is about getting the ball back into the Texas offense’s hands.
T’Vondre Sweat is looking forward to going up against the top offensive line in the country as well as Bryon Murphy II. Jahdae Barron talked about his competitive mentality going into this game and being ready to compete on this stage against equally elite players.
Jaylan Ford talked about having complete trust and confidence in how the coaches have prepared them to confront Washington and quarterback Michael Penix Jr. Throughout the season, Texas has had a pattern of taking their opponents strengths and reducing them to be unproductive.
