Things are looking up for the Texas Longhorns. They have strung together some big wins and beat [s2If current_user_can(access_s2member_level2)] a few teams (Kansas and Oklahoma) that they have not beat in a while. After defeating the Sooners, I felt that the Longhorns were a sure shot at cracking the top 25, but no dice. Still, I am optimistic.

According to the L.A. Times, the Longhorns are one week 8 victory away.

The Players Shop

When the Texas Longhorns had a history-making upset last Saturday and beat No. 18 Oklahoma 36-20, it was the start of a revolution for the Texas offense. The offensive line controlled the line of scrimmage, allowing Case McCoy to total 190 yards and two touchdowns.

Another week following this game plan is what the Longhorns need. Texas fans were becoming skeptical due to a shaky start in non conference play before the Oklahoma victory. Now, the Longhorns are on the path to a Big 12 title and can easily climb into the rankings.

One win away from the top 25 and potentially in the driver’s seat for the Big 12 title.
