Texas senior Taylor Doyle has been selected to the preseason watch list for the 2015 Rimington Trophy, honoring the nation's top center. The award committee announced the 63-player list Wednesday.

Heading into his final season, Doyle has played in 15 career games with 11 starts (eight at center/three at guard). After playing right guard, he was inserted as the starting center in last season's Oklahoma game (Oct. 11) and helped an inexperienced offensive line begin to mesh. The Longhorns had their two most productive outputs vs. the Sooners (482 total yards) and in the next game vs. Iowa State (512 total yards).

Doyle, who was also on the Rimington spring watch list, was a 2013 Academic All-Big 12 choice and a three-time member of Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.

This is the third-straight season the Longhorns have a player on the Rimington preseason list. Dominic Espinosa was on each of the last two years. Former player Chris Hall was named a Rimington Trophy finalist in 2009.

The winner of the Rimington Trophy will be chosen through cumulative votes of three All-America teams - Walter Camp Football Foundation, Sporting News and the Football Writers Association of America. The winner will be recognized at the Rimington Trophy Presentation at the Rococo Theatre in Lincoln, Nebraska, on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016.
